Desmond Elliot: wins APC primaries in Lagos Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot has now got his baptism of fire in the political terrain and he came out in flying colours. The All Progressive Congress, APC, primaries elect was won by Desmond Elliot, triumphed against all odds to clinch the ticket to vie for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly for Surulere 1 State Constituency, defeating a two-term incumbent member of the House, Kabiru Lawal, with a wide margin to grab the sole ticket. The movie director and producer is seen as a bridge builder who has good plans for the people especially the youths and women in the area of empowerment, employment and education. But it was not so smooth for veteran journalist and co-owner of Kennies Music, Dayo Adeneye, the one fondly called D1 by his fans, as he lost in the primaries election to represent Odogbolu State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly to Folajimi Lai Mohammed, the son of the APC National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed.
